Rochelle founded TGD Communications (formerly Taccino/Gray Design) in 1988 with a small staff and many years of experience as an art director at local and Chicago based advertising agencies. Through her hard work, keen eye for quality, exacting specifications, and the ability to hire and keep an excellent staff—many of whom have continued to work with her for over 10 years—TGD has grown to become one of the area's top design firms providing advertising to numerous area associations, nonprofits, and corporations.
As President and Creative Director, Rochelle provides creative and strategic consultation for numerous international, national and local businesses, and organizations. She heads up all communication audits and branding programs, and writes the documentation for identity style manuals. She oversees and consults on ALL of TGD’s projects.
Dedicated to the premise that a strong educational background is the key to success in one’s career, she has taught undergraduate design and publication courses at the University of Virginia, including History of Graphic Design, Newsletter Design, and Web Design. She has won many awards for her design work, including the coveted honor of having one of her designs represented in the Library of Congress’ Collection of Graphic Design. In 2008, Rochelle was named Woman of the Year for Design, Advertising and Marketing by the National Association of Professional and Executive Women.
Rochelle received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Arts & Design from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
