Development As a private, nonprofit institution, the National Building Museum not only welcomes, but also relies on generous contributions from corporations, individuals, associations, foundations, and public agencies. Well over half of the Museum’s total revenue comes from contributed income and services. The Board of Trustees and staff gratefully thank all who gave their financial support, which totaled $4,704,168 in fiscal year 2003. Museum members enjoy a tour of Up, Down, Across: Elevators, Escalators, and Moving Sidewalks with the Museum’s Chief Curator Howard Decker at the members-only reception. Photo by Liz Roll
